Part-time Research Assistant II (R6600) (S&T) (Ref: 2400145)

We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:

Part-time Research Assistant II (R6600) (S&T) (Ref: 2400145)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator in a research project: “Investigation on the Surface Interactions of Nanoplastic Particles in Solution” (R6600). He / She will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Conducting experimental research as instructed by the Principal Investigator;
  • Performing data analysis;
  • Assisting in report writing and presentation of the results;
  • Providing effective office support and research-related assistance; and
  • Carrying out other research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.


Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Testing and Certification, Applied Science or a related discipline;
  • Experience in operating and performing maintenance for instruments would be an advantage; 
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, responsible, able to meet deadlines and ability to work independently; and
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
