We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Arts and Social Sciences


Part-time Technical Assistant (Project No. Q1121) (A&SS) (Ref: 240013T)


Major Duties and Responsibilities 

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the project “A&SS Magazine – HUMANLITAN” (Project No. Q1121). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Developing and designing a magazine with texts and photos provided by students and professors;
  • Responsible for contacting and negotiating with printing companies for the printout of the magazine; 
  • Providing an elementary design course for students who are involved in the project; and
  • Performing other tasks related to the project.



Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A good, recognized diploma or above, preferably in the field of graphics design, or related disciplines;
  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator;
  • Advanced output and production knowledge with experience in printing magazines and/or other printed works;
  • Strong creative sense; and
  • Candidates with experience in teaching Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, another design software would be considered first.

Successful candidate will be appointed on a part-time contract for the period between 1 June 2024 and 31 July 2024. Payment will be made on monthly basis. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
