Job Description

What you'll do:

• Responsible for government-funded R&D projects implementation including but not limited to Intelligent systems, Smart Mobility initiative, sensors, autonomous driving technologies, power electronics design for electric vehicle (EV), Internet-of-Things of Smart City, Aviation, Health Care, Buildings and Transportation, AI and robotics
• Conduct R&D work related to automotive technology, like Autonomous Driving/ New Energy/ Artificial Intelligence/ Smart Systems, etc.
• Communicate with clients and technical partners, and collaborate with teammates on innovative technology development, project formulation, hardware design and build, software programming, product validation, and documentation.
• Ensure projects stay on track for timely completion.
• Compile progress reports in a timely manner.
• Occasional travel to Mainland China or overseas may be required.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or relevant discipline.
• Solid experience in mechanical design and hardware prototyping is a plus.
• Solid experience in project management is a plus.
• Knowledge in automotive related smart systems is an advantage.
• Good command of Cantonese, English and Putonghua.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
