IT Officer (5 days work)

We are looking for a forward-thinking, self-initiated IT professional to manage our core IT ecosystem while helping to build our AI transformation from the ground up. This includes deploying local and cloud-based LLMs, structuring internal data for AI training and RAG, and automating workflows to improve efficiency across stakeholders.


Responsibilities

1.       AI & Digital Transformation

  • Local AI Deployment: Architect and deploy local, private AI instances to ensure data privacy while utilizing LLMs.

  • Data Engineering: Structure, clean, and manage internal files and databases to be used as training data.

  • AI Workflow Automation: Design and implement automated workflows to streamline departmental tasks.

  • Database Management: Maintain and optimize databases to ensure high data quality for AI integration.


2.       Infrastructure & Security

  • Responsible for setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

  • Design and monitor network infrastructure across multi-country offices.

  • Manage Group IT policies, security compliance, and endpoint management.

  • Coordinate with external vendors.


3.       Support & Troubleshooting

  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Provide high-level Help-desk support.


Requirements

  • Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in traditional IT who has "leveled up" into the AI space.

  • AI Competency: Proven experience with Local AI deployment, prompt engineering, and an understanding of how to use vector databases or RAG frameworks.

  • Data Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and data structuring. Knowledge of Python is a significant advantage.

  • Traditional IT: Strong proficiency in MS Windows Server, Active Directory, M365 (SharePoint/Teams), and network security.

  • Soft Skills: Someone who is naturally curious, stays ahead of AI trends, and can explain complex tech to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Languages: Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
