We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive IT System Engineer to keep our infrastructure running smoothly and to help drive forward key IT initiatives as part of our continued growth. In this position, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of servers, networks, backup solutions, and security services, and play a key role in helping drive our company’s technological evolution via exciting new projects. Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server and Linux systems in both virtualized and baremetal environments.
Configuration, deployment and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VPNs and other networking infrastructure.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Deploy and administer regular backup and security systems.
Monitor backup health, manage restores, and continuously improve DR procedures.
Network & Security Operations
Design, implement, and maintain secure network segments across local and remote company networks.
Conduct regular security audits, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
Monitoring & Incident Response
Track health, performance metrics, and security alerts of IT systems to maintain system reliance and stability.
Diagnose and resolve incidents remotely or on‑site, ensuring minimal downtime.
Project Support
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent working experience).
Experience
Minimum 3 years in system engineering, system administration, or comparable IT roles within on-premise or hybrid enterprise environments (work experience within healthcare, retail or hospitality industries preferred but not required).
Technical Skills
Windows Server & Linux administration in both virtualized and baremetal environments
Routing, switching, firewall, VPN, DNS
Email server configuration and administration
Active Directory and identity management and administration
PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages
Soft Skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Proactive, with excellent project/time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Clear communication both in written and verbal English and Chinese
Intellectual curiosity, desire to continuously learn and implement new ideas
