Job Description
Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is the department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government tasked to attract and retain foreign direct investment in Hong Kong. InvestHK is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic candidate to join our Marketing and Public Affairs Group as Assistant Manager. Your key role is to provide administrative support and assist in implementing marketing and public affairs strategies for attracting Mainland and overseas businesses to invest in Hong Kong through content marketing, public affairs as well as working with colleagues across InvestHK local and overseas offices, stakeholders and business partners. You will need to demonstrate: ? proven experience in marketing or public affairs, including translation and support in digital marketing, public affairs and social media campaigns; ? excellent writing and communication skills in English and Chinese; ? substantial experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders and vendors; and ? ability of working independently, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, proactive attitude, good interpersonal and co-ordination skills, strong business acumen, integrity and work ethics. Duties (a) To provide support to digital marketing, including managing the content of websites and across different social media channels; (b) To assist in conducting marketing research to support the implementation of marketing initiatives; (c) To provide support to the production of marketing and public affairs materials and videos, including liaison with external agencies and handling the related logistic arrangements; (d) To provide support to administrative and procurement matters for the Marketing and Public Affairs Group; and (e) To perform any other duties as required.
(a) Minimum three years of relevant full-time work experience gained in marketing, public affairs, business administration or a related field; (b) A Bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, preferably in marketing, public relations, translation, advertising, or a related field; (c) Familiarity of updating websites and social media platforms; (d) Meet the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) or equivalent (see Notes (a) to (c)); (e) Proficiency in translation between English and Chinese; knowledge of other language(s) would be an advantage; and (f) Proficiency in English and Chinese word processing, and in the applications of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.? Note: (a) Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of Chinese (UC) paper of the CRE. Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the Use of English (UE) paper of the CRE. (b) Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) or in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level) is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE. (c) An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period.
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for normally 24 months. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service need of the department and the performance and conduct of the candidate.
HK$22,895 per month
Fringe Benefits (a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and (b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.
