The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate closely with both the design and project teams to integrate innovative design elements into museum and exhibition projects. This role involves direct client interaction to conceptualize projects and deliver high-quality designs within established timelines. Preference will be given to candidates with senior-level experience.

Job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee exhibition projects from initial concept through to completion, working in tandem with directors to ensure alignment with client objectives.

• Engage with clients to interpret their needs and translate them into design plans.

• Collaborate with internal project teams and stakeholders to develop spatial concepts, space planning, and mood and material boards, ensuring the final outputs meet project requirements.

• Prepare comprehensive design and construction drawings, and independently manage the full design presentation process.

• Supervise on-site coordination with contractors and other consultants to ensure design integrity and successful implementation.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in design, particularly in exhibition design, interactive installations, and experiential spaces.

Basic Qualifications:

• Creative with a strong conceptual mindset, able to work under pressure, and self-motivated.

• Diploma or higher in interior design, architecture, exhibition design, or related disciplines.

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.

• Less experienced candidates will also be considered for the junior interior designer role.

• Excellent communication skills and a keen aesthetic sense.

• Imagination and attention to detail.

• Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work under pressure to meet tight schedules.

• Passionate about design, self-motivated, independent, and responsible.

• Good understanding of material costs and applications.

• Experience in multimedia installation and knowledge of art handling is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop or other design programs.
