Purpose of the Job

The General Manager, Group Finance Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing finance operations across the Group. By driving process improvements, implementing best practices and leveraging automation, the role holder will enhance the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of financial transactions and reporting. The role aims to streamline interdepartmental processes, mitigate risks and maintain data integrity to enable robust financial business analysis. The General Manager, Group Finance Operations will play a critical role in aligning finance operations with organizational goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role will support the seamless integration of newly acquired businesses within the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage finance operations teams at the Group level, conducting process reviews, identifying areas for improvement, establishing and implementing best practices to optimize end-to-end finance operations of the group.
• Develop and implement standardized procedures, controls, and policies to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of financial transactions and reporting.
• Influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize interdepartmental finance processes, drive operational efficiency, and mitigate risks in finance operations through the implementation of robust controls.
• Drive automation initiatives and leverage emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency as well as enhance the overall effectiveness of Group’s finance operations.
• Maintain data integrity to build a strong foundation for financial business analysis, enhancing overall business performance.
• Provide recommendations to senior management based on process review findings, aligning finance operations to achieve organizational goals and driving continuous improvement.
• Act as a Project Manager overseeing the implementation of process improvement initiatives, ensuring successful execution, measurable results, and seamless integration of newly acquired businesses within the finance function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.  Professional qualifications such as CPA and CMA are ideal.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in FP&A or operational finance, with preference for MNC experience.
• Strong expertise in leading finance operations process reviews and improvements.
• Extensive knowledge of finance operations processes, including transactions, reporting, controls, and compliance.
• Experience in driving automation and digitalization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends and patterns.
• Strong project management skills, including effective planning, prioritisation and execution of process improvement projects.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
