Director, L&M Services, APAC (Building Services Industry)

What you will do  

The Director, L&M Services APAC will provide the overall leadership for L&M (Labour & Material) services business in APAC.  He / She will take full ownership and accountability of financial and operational metrics.  He / She will take the role in collaboration with the Product & Solutions, Sales & Commercial, Country, Global Product, Factory and Procurement to own and drive the operational excellence with capabilities building to achieve business goals and targets.

How you will do it

  • Lead, drive and support the market sales and ops teams to achieve the sales and profitability objectives to deliver growth plans for both L&M and Parts business
  • Responsible to lead the development, launch, activation and operationalization of global & regional high impact growth initiatives and campaigns by working closely with Global/APAC/Country retrofit, GCOE, digital solution and products teams
  • Develop marketing & proactive demand generation campaign to drive new pipeline & quote generation to enable growth
  • Activate, assign & operationalize all existing and future leads to dedicated IS / FLS / SAM / FLSP for qualification and conversion into new sales pipeline. Conduct weekly leads progression and secured sales performance reviews and provide problem solving / sales enablement support as needed to market teams
  • Serve as subject market expert with in-depth knowledge of L&M to provide critical insights and sound business advice
  • Collaborate with the APAC Operational Excellence team to develop, implement and manage Service Productivity support tools, programs, processes, tools and technologies that increase the effectiveness of the Service field organization.  Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as a key member of the APAC Service Leadership Team including providing Service performance information in an accurate and timely fashion, and working with and supporting the Regional Vice President(s) to share resources and approaches as needed to maximize revenues and profitability (sharing success approaches, problem-solving, coaching and mentoring)
  • Keep a regular pulse check, understand & analyze market trends, opportunities, legislation, customer needs and competition to determine and implement innovative growth offerings and strategies to increase market penetration, secure orders and maximize margin
  • Provide timely feedback and reports to management to demonstrate retrofit business progress

What we look for


  • Degree in Engineering/Business or equivalent relevant experience or MBA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Service Operations Management with more than 15 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Able to work effectively in a matrix organization structure
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Good to solid experience in managing operational risks and optimizing margin and productivity
  • Analytical and process oriented
  • Drives accountability and results
  • Technically proficient in all products and services at a sufficient level to meet the requirements of a regional role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and dealing with external stakeholders
  • Strong people management, team building, performance management, strategic and operations planning, process management, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Experience in effective relationship/conflict management
  • Demonstrated Customer Service mindset with business and financial acumen
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • May need to travel overseas as and when required
