About the Role

KLN Logistics Group is accelerating its data-driven transformation within the Group Internal Audit function. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive the development and execution of audit analytics initiatives. This role is pivotal in enhancing our risk coverage, operational insights, and audit efficiency through the application of advanced data techniques. You will combine deep technical expertise with an understanding of audit principles to help evolve our dynamic, data-enabled audit ecosystem.

Work Location: Hong Kong, China (Shenzhen or Shanghai), or Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur); up to 20% international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and visualizations to support audit planning, testing, and reporting.
• Extract, cleanse, and analyze structured and unstructured data using SQL and Python to identify trends, anomalies, and control gaps.
• Collaborate with audit teams to embed data-driven testing, continuous auditing, and bespoke audit procedures into engagements.
• Develop and automate analytics scripts and workflows to streamline recurring audit procedures and enhance coverage.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and security standards across analytics initiatives.
• Partner with IT and business units to enhance data accessibility and integration from operational and financial systems.
• Contribute to the development of early-warning indicators and automated control testing using analytics.
• Support innovation initiatives, including the use of Generative AI (GenAI), natural language processing (NLP), or machine learning to enhance audit precision and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, IT, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data modelling, data analytics, business intelligence, and audit analytics, ideally within internal audit, risk, or assurance functions.
• At least 2 years of experience working with modern data stacks and architectures, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data fabric frameworks.
• Experience with automation or RPA tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Experience embedding analytics into audit workflows (e.g., automated testing, continuous monitoring) is preferred.
• A collaborative team player with strong cross-cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
• Strong analytical and programming skills with the ability to break down complex problems logically and deliver efficient and reusable data solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI (including DAX and data modeling), and Python (pandas, numpy; familiarity with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and XGBoost ).
• Solid understanding of database management concepts, including experience in designing, maintaining, and querying relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
• Demonstrates unwavering integrity, accountability, and professionalism in managing sensitive audit data, consistently honors commitments, and upholds the highest ethical standards.
• Proficient in both spoken & written English and Chinese; Good command in Putonghua is a strong advantage for regional collaboration.
