As the Hong Kong digital lead, you will supervise both the digital function of the digital centre of excellence (CofE) in Hong Kong, and act as an expert digital consultant on client-facing projects and programme commissions. You will also direct the existing digital team in Hong Kong
In supervising the digital CofE you will define and set the overall shape of digital in line with the global digital leads, embrace, and develop the communities of personnel that align to this sub-function, and contribute to defining the overall shape of the digital CoE.
As a digital lead you will manage all aspects of digital services delivery on a client project or programme - from bid stage, through mobilization, discovery assessment, development of the digital strategy, digital landscape and architecture, procurement, and implementation of digital solutions through testing and training, and into live operation. You will work on a range of projects across a cross-section of industries, working within a team-based approach, and as a fee-earning practitioner on client-facing projects and programmes.
You’ll be responsible for:
Technical proficiency - there is a requirement for technical proficiency and experience in the sub-function, in delivering projects, and being able to guide a team from experience. Proficiency in developing client project strategies, overseeing implementation of client project and programme solutions.
Defining and operating digital CoE - to work with the other digital CoE leads to both define and operate the digital CoE.
Leadership team - to work with other leads collectively to supervise the digital CoE.
Work with peers - to work with other peers in the wider PMO plus planning CoE and other CoEs to drive digital capability and support their needs as a leadership community.
Vision and strategy - to develop vision and strategy for the digital function in Hong Kong.
Community - to engage and develop the digital consultancy community.
CoE responsibilities - to partake in all the areas that the digital CoE is responsible for, both collectively, and for the digital consultancy sub-function specifically.
Community and team - to shape, recruit for, develop, nurture, make high performing, support internal and international movement, and manage project allocations for the digital team and community in country.
Mace way and standards - to contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of Mace way content and global standards and to foster their adoption by the global digital community.
Client projects - expected to work on one or more significant client projects whilst carrying out lead responsibilities. This is a key challenge of the sub-function lead roles and requires strong leadership and self-management in this regard.
Mentor - to mentor and coach the digital community.
You’ll need to have:
Strategic thinker - able to develop strategies for digital solutions for projects and programmes.
Good problem solver - identifying and evaluating business opportunities and risks-seeing problems early, driving solutions and successful outcomes.
To have taken full responsibility for the whole project lifecycle from bidding through to completion.
Technical development experience/knowledge - in one of more Mace standard technology platforms-such as Microsoft Power BI.

Demonstrable track record of delivering IT and digital solutions to support major construction and real-estate projects and programmes from start to finish, across various industries and sectors.
Managing all aspects of digital solution delivery and operation on client-facing projects to enable the project/programme team to work efficiently and effectively and get access to the data they need.
To utilize the Mace way project delivery methodology, standards, and templates.
Start with understanding the project specific requirements and how to apply standards and templates and innovation that may be required.
Gathering requirements from project colleagues and business users and working with business analysts.
Developing strategies, plans, and data and system architecture.
Defining and managing budgets.
Overseeing and project managing key elements of software and solution life cycle.
Working with colleagues and peers as part of a development and support team.
Testing solutions.
Delivery into live use including documentation.
Developing support strategies.
Understanding the data architecture of clients and advising and delivering integrations and dynamic reporting dashboards.
Settling solutions on to stable-state operations whilst retaining some reach-back support.
Liaise with Mace corporate IT, partner IT functions; and other stakeholder IT functions; client and supply chain partners.
Managing the digital team on client projects ensuring that they are effective, growing and to support their well-being.
To engage seamlessly with other teams within the client project eco-system.
Help with defining and setting up governance models.
Developing and keeping your business and technical knowledge and networks current and continuously improving.
Serving as a conduit between the global leadership team and the regional resource base, ensuring effective two-way communication and alignment.
Collaborating closely with global service leads to embed and implement strategy in the region.
Overseeing the onboarding process for new starters, including assigning buddies and coordinating induction activities.
Supporting the bidding process, including bid writing, for work winning activity within the region.
Knowledge of data architecture and different technologies for dynamic client reporting (i.e., MS Fabric, Data bricks, etc.) and experience of delivering reporting capabilities for clients.
Understanding and keeping up to date with market digital development.
Developing strong professional relationships and where required lead negotiations with supply chain and partners including software and platform providers, hardware providers, consultants and other organizations.
Directing and contributing to APAC regional strategy development.
Providing thought leadership both internally and externally in both written and in person such as presenting or taking part in panel discussions.
Experience in implementing AI solutions and integrating AI into existing solutions.
Experience of implementing Asite and other PMO software.
