Assistant Manager (Supervision)

The Job

  • To perform on-site and off-site supervisory activities, analyze findings and report results from supervisory activities, and liaise with MPF trustees for follow-up actions;
  • To assist in overseeing evaluation and monitoring of performance of MPF investment funds;
  • To perform research, fact-finding and data/statistical analysis on developments of financial markets and regulatory reforms;
  • To establish, maintain and update related information database;
  • To supervise and enhance skills and expertise of subordinates in the team; and
  • To perform other duties as assigned.

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably in economics, finance, accounting, statistics or equivalent;
  • At least six years of relevant experience in trust business/management of pensions/retirement schemes, financial market regulation, fund management or accounting/auditing, of which at least three years at Senior Officer level or above, preferably gained from sizable or public organizations;
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Excel and sound knowledge in Bloomberg and Lipper IM are preferable;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Good communication skills and stakeholder-focused;
  • Good problem-solving skills and strong in execution; and
  • Good leadership skills, self-motivated, solutions oriented and able to work under pressure.

 

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered.  The appointment will be made on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
