Our Client is an asset management firm dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity in Hong Kong and the China regions. They are currently seeking a dedicated legal and compliance professional to join their team and provide comprehensive support to their rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Monitor compliance matters related to operations & investments
• Investigate errors, breaches and complaints
• Assist in filings with SFC and equivalents in other jurisdiction, implementation of requirements of licensed activities
• Research and implement new regulations applicable to the licenses relevant to the management company and funds under management
• Develop and deliver compliance training and provide compliance advice to staff 
• Handle ad-hoc legal and compliance matters
• Follow up with/draft investment or fund setup documentations
• Process company secretarial matters for funds and investment managers
• Participate in and assist with ad hoc projects as assigned

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in compliance or regulatory roles
• Experience in audit particularly PE investment managers, listed investment holding companies, regulatory or corporate finance or asset management industry preferred.  Paralegal experience with law firms is also a plus.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) 
• Independent, meticulous, proactive, and attentive to detail
• Self-motivated and reliable with excellent communication skills
• High proficiency in PC skills and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Basic programming skill and Bloomberg proficiency will be a plus
• Candidate from Big 4 will be considered
