Job Description

Our client is a multinational bank with all-rounded financial operations at its prime within the APAC region. They are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support their Business Finance Department in a dynamic banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and process financial data from diverse sources to ensure accuracy, conducting thorough analyses of bank-wide performance in retail and private banking, wealth management, and corporate banking

• Create interactive dashboards using BI tools to visualize data and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Design and implement AI and machine learning models to enhance decision-making and provide strategic insights aligned with business objectives

• Explore and evaluate emerging AI and GenAI applications to improve financial processes and reinforce business controls

• Collaborate with local and regional finance teams, as well as business, operations, and tech teams, to address business questions and requirements, deliver effective digital solutions for finance and business stakeholders

• Manage BAU tasks, including ETL processes, data quality assurance, and maintenance of data models, while also supporting ad hoc projects as needed

• Stay informed about economic trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in finance and data science, ensuring timely analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives

Key requirements::

• Degree holder in Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field

• 6 - 8 years of experience in a data analysis role

• Proven experience in applying data-driven methodologies, quantitative and statistical techniques, as well as AI and GenAI, to provide insightful analyses and effective data solutions

• Skilled in data modeling and knowledgeable about big data technologies

• Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven and AI-first approach, coupled with a proactive attitude, results-oriented focus, and a commitment to sustainable practices

• Proficient in SQL, Python, Qlik, and Tableau; experience with cloud platforms is a plus
