About the Role

You will be assisting the team in creating, uploading and testing educational content for the various schools we support, as well as taking on the role of an online English tutor for one-on-one sessions when needed. The role may be a hybrid of office and remote work. 

Curriculum Specialist Responsibilities: 

• Create engaging teaching materials for a variety of curricula, with a focus on IGCSE, IB, and HKEDB English

• Support our team in setting up best practices for creating relevant English content

• Assist in building out each curriculum level’s learning outcome and teaching framework 

• Collaborate with our technology and wider team in enhancing our system to best support students in English

• Deliver on ad-hoc and administrative assignments that help propel our pedagogical initiatives in English

Online English Tutor Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging 1-on-1 English sessions with students using MeeOpp’s curriculum and platform

• Review students’ work and provide tailored, actionable feedback to strengthen speaking and communication skills

• Prepare for each session by reviewing teaching notes, guidelines, and student progress insights

• Foster a supportive and welcoming environment where students feel confident to speak, ask questions, and share ideas

Requirements: 

• Experience with HK local school or international school curriculum (e.g. IB, IGCSE)

• 1–2 years of experience teaching English to students, especially EAL (English as an Additional Language) students in one-on-one or small-group settings

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Native or near-native fluency in English

• Bachelor's in English, Education, or a PGDE/PGCE in English

• TEFL, TESOL, TESL, CELTA, or DELTA certification (preferred)

• SCRC or police check 

• Flexibility to work weekends for the online tutor role - you will be compensated with early leave during the work week.

• Comfortable and familiar with technology (e.g. Google Docs, slide presentations, etc.)
