Job Description:
- The candidate will join the Independent Consultants’ site team to –
- Supervise and check that the Contractor’s environmental monitoring is in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Permit and Environmental Monitoring & Audit (EM&A) Manual for the project; and
- Monitor and report on the Contractor’s environmental performance during the site construction works, operation of the landfill and the subsequent restoration works.
- Initial employment contract period: 24 months (renewable).
- Gratuity on completion of contract: 15%.
Note: This appointment does not follow the government’s terms and conditions for employment of resident site staff.
Requirements:
Candidate should have the following:
- A University Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent;
- At least 3 years’ experience in the environmental monitoring of construction of a landfill or civil engineering project/s;
- Good communication skills and proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Full Hong Kong driving license free of driving-offence Points; and
- Self-motivated, logical and systematic thinker.
