Duties

The appointee will focus on developing functional materials for healthcare applications and contribute to a dynamic and efficient R&D team. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and optimize methods for particle synthesis and coating techniques for diverse applications;
• Explore and incubate new application fields for the developed materials in microelectronic packaging or other electronic field;
• Collaborate with the research team to design experiments, analyze data, and address technical challenges;
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on material selection, processing, and performance;
• Assist in scaling up and commercializing new products; 
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for functional materials;
• Manage project activities, including proposal writing, patent preparation, and reporting; and
• Performing any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in material research and development;
• Prior experience in product development is preferred;
• Proficiency in powder treatment, material properties, and processing techniques; a background in polymers/chemistry is an advantage;
• Hands-on experience in formulation development, material testing, and pilot-scale production;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to excel in a team environment; 
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively;
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to polymers;
• Strong report-writing and presentation skills; and
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua or Cantonese is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

We offer 5-day work, attractive remuneration package to the successful candidates. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
