Senior Engineer / Engineer – Insulation Coating

Duties

• The appointee will be responsible for incubating and developing novel insulation coating of soft magnetic powder materials for electronics industry. His/her core duties include:
• Materials Development and Formulation: Development and formulation of organic, inorganic, and composite material systems for soft magnetic powder insulation coating applications;
• Conduct thorough characterization using advanced techniques, including GPC, MS, NMR, UV-Vis, FTIR, and SEM;
• Contribute to the development and protection of intellectual property related to new materials and technologies;
• Create high-throughput experimental designs to address technical challenges, analyze data, and communicate findings effectively to teams; and
• Responsible for ad hoc tasks assigned by supervisor and other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ph.D in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials or a related disciplines.;
• At least 3 years R&D experience in development of novel materials and corelated fabrication process;
• Creative & critical thinking, good troubleshooting skills, able to work under pressure;
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, and coordination skills; Experience of successful application and completion of ITF projects is a plus;
• Articulate report writing/presentation skills as well as abilities in literature/patent search; and
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, proficient in Putonghua is an advantage.
• Industrial experience in relevant technologies is highly desirable.
