Duties

The appointee will be responsible for the incubation and development of high-performance concrete materials tailored for construction applications. Core duties include:

• Develop Core Technologies: Innovate and create advanced concrete materials for construction.
• Project Management: Lead project incubation, including proposal writing, reporting, and presentation preparation.
• Project Implementation: Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met through effective execution.
• Technology Transfer and Commercialization: Drive the commercialization of developed materials and technologies.
• Client and Network Building: Establish and maintain client relationships, expand collaboration networks, and monitor market trends.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with project sponsors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
• Team Leadership: Build and mentor a skilled team in concrete material research.
• Intellectual Property Management: Oversee intellectual property applications and management for projects.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Education: MPhil and/or PhD in Construction Materials, Material Science, or related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years in R&D and team supervision within construction materials, with a track record in technology commercialization.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and independent working ability;
• Creative problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and resilience under pressure;
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and coordination skills;
• Familiarity with ITF project applications is a plus; and
• Proficiency in report writing, presentations, and patent searches.
• Languages: Proficient in English and Chinese; Putonghua proficiency is advantageous.

Salary and Benefit:
We offer 5-day work, attractive remuneration package to the successful candidates. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
