Responsibilities: 

• Lead a team of business managers and product management professionals to liaise with business partners to explore new business opportunities and services for expanding Octopus applications.
• Lead all product development and customer experience efforts to ensure sustainable business growth in the mobile-first era.
• Support Retail Business (online and offline, local and outbound) and Transport Business with solutioning and product development to ensure success of those businesses. 
• Act as first line of defense to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met while driving business growth with P&L accountability.
• Manage product and project management role and liaise with internal and external parties to deliver the product according to business plan. 
• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Octopus’ growth objectives, leveraging market insights and trends to identify new opportunities in physical cards, online and mobile services. 
• Lead efforts in devising the future technical roadmap for Consumer digital products, eg. Mobile Octopus for local users, Mobile Octopus for Tourists, etc.
• Drive the development of innovative digital products and services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the business plan. 
• Lead technical implementation teams to deliver delightful products and experiences that are on time and with the highest level of quality.
• Take ownership of Consumer Business’ financial performance and profitability, overseeing budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation to optimise returns on investment.
• Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify potential applications, trends, and partnerships that will expand Octopus' business.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assgined by the management.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Human Interaction Design or related disciplines; Master's degree and/or MBA is preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in product management or development and / or business management with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the digital products/services space.
• Proven experience in defining and implementing strategies in payment initiatives; strong understanding of design thinking, user research methodologies, and UI/UX best practices
• Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and business opportunities.
• Strong knowledge in payment and digital solution development and rollout mobile payment, e-Commerce, CRM, web technologies.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with partners, stakeholders, and team members.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
