Responsibilities: 

• Manage reader development team by establishing individual project objectives and providing meaningful performance feedback and coaching
• Lead and manage a task force or project team to provide efficient and smooth services to stakeholders within the time and budget as set in the project planning
• Ensure system reliability, performance of Octopus readers and products in production operations
• Support tender bidding initiatives. Prepare and present tender proposals. Mange contract and purchasing administration
• Lead client negotiations, requirement analysis, design, development and deployment of solutions such as payment system in retail segment
• Conduct feasibility study, evaluation and prototype development for new products and solutions, for retail service providers
• Manage complex projects. Prepare executive reports with detailed project costing / financial information. Develop project management documentation including project plans, test strategies, implementation plans and master schedules
• Work in collaboration with business development units to support new initiatives matching Octopus Portfolio
• Provide subject matter expertise to identify and translate business requirements into software and hardware architecture, design documentation
• Handle ad-hoc project as assigned by supervisors

Requirements: 

• University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
• Around 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in systems development and project management
• In-depth knowledge and experience in smart card technology and security, and software development methodologies
• Familiar with software/firmware development, preferably in Linux, Android or other real-time operating system (RTOS) platforms
• Experience with C or JAVA programming is an advantage
• Knowledge of DevOps, version control system (e.g. GIT, SVN), maven, JIRA
• Able to work under pressure and self-motivated. Able to coach subordinates for performance improvement
• Track records in large-scale and complex system deployment planning and executing
• Good team player with strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English
