System Engineer (Reader Development)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded software/firmware for Octopus reader devices and IoT services to provide innovative and security solutions for the growing requirements in payment business
  • Prioritize tasks and complete works in accordance with planned schedule with high quality deliverables
  • Support product rollout, system deployment and performance monitoring
  • Identify opportunities of improvements in respective work areas

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in software/firmware development, preferably in Linux, Android or other real-time operating system (RTOS) platforms
  • Relevant technical knowledge in programming and system design for embedded systems
  • Proficient in programming languages including C/C++ and Java would be an advantage
  • Experience with server development for IoT devices is an advantage
  • Candidates with project management experience is a plus
  • A good team player with strong analytical / trouble shooting skills, able to work under pressure and self-motivated
