About the Role 

Join our dynamic IT team as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer! In this pivotal role, you'll focus on manual testing to ensure the utmost quality and reliability of our large-scale systems. Reporting to the Senior Project and Test Leads, you will closely collaborate with Test Leads on various projects. This hands-on position emphasizes meticulous manual testing practices

Key Responsibilities: 

• Test Case Execution: Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases that verify system functionality, usability, and performance.

• Thorough Testing: Conduct in-depth manual testing on system interfaces, data flows, and business logic to identify discrepancies and validate system integrity.

• Defect Management: Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear analysis and steps for resolution, enabling efficient troubleshooting and collaboration.

• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and fellow testers to facilitate smooth project delivery and foster a quality-centric culture.

• Testing Types: Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required to confirm that changes meet project specifications.

• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to test planning, risk assessment, and the ongoing enhancement of testing processes, promoting best practices across the team.

• Documentation: Systematically document test results, insights, and reports to support quality assurance initiatives and keep project stakeholders informed.
  
  

Requirements: 

• Education: Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience: Prior experience in software testing, particularly manual testing, is preferred.

• Testing Knowledge: A solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools (e.g., test case management and defect tracking systems like JIRA).

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for basic data validation and familiarity with APIs and web technologies. (Not mandatory)

• Coding Exposure: Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, or shell scripting) is a plus but not mandatory—strong test management skills take precedence over coding ability.

• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.

• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Cantonese, with fluent written and spoken English.

• Entry-Level Consideration: Candidates without prior testing experience may be considered if they demonstrate high potential and a willingness to learn.
