Operations Assistant (Finance Services)

Overall Responsibility

This position is within a small, dynamic business based in Hong Kong. Established over 16 years ago in a niche section of the asset management industry, the business is well respected amongst clients, business partners and peers. This role is ideal for someone who has an interest in the asset management industry, preferably with experience in financial services, and is keen to expand their knowledge and experience by working with a growing company.

Your role reports to the Associate Director, your responsibilities will include administrative duties, sales and marketing support, client servicing and product analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • 2 plus years work experiences with no less than 1 year in the same organisation; Experience in financial services will be given preferential consideration
  • Passion for financial services, particularly asset management
  • Able to take initiative and be accountable for your own work and responsibilities
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards client services, continuous learning and improvement, and understand the importance of efficiency
  • Able to work as a team player and complete assigned tasks independently or with guidance of supervisor(s)
  • Able to work under a deadline
  • Good administrative skills and discipline
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated, and looking to grow with the organization
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese (with Mandarin preferred)

Job Specifications:

  • Vetting and conducting analysis on investment products
  • Perform varied administrative work including: compiling monthly reports, client servicing etc.
  • Providing sales and marketing support such as: monthly mailouts, updating and/or editing presentations, updating contact system etc.
  • Keeping documents up-to-date and properly filed.
  • Keeping website and social media channels updated
  • General administrative support;
  • Willing to perform any ad-hoc task as assigned no matter how basic or complex; and
  • FinTech experience, knowledge and higher IT skills will be given preferential consideration (Excel knowledge a must, HTML an asset); and
  • Bachelor degree in related fields of Business, Accountancy, Law, Finance etc. Candidate with SFC practicing qualifications will be an advantage.

Job Details:

  • Full Time, 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday;
  • Bank holidays off; and 20 days annual leave
  • MPF and medical insurance provided
