Job Description
(1) To assist in handling matters relating to human resources management and personnel issues (e.g. employee compensation, retirement and posting); (2) To handle general administrative, clerical and financial matters, as well as records management; (3) To assist in preparing submissions on budget and manpower requirements; (4) To assist in handling recruitment and appointment-related matters; (5) To handle public enquiries and complaints; (6) To supervise clerical and other junior staff in the office; and (7) To undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
(1) A recognised Bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; (2) A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification work experience in human resources management or office administration, preferably in managerial/executive positions; (3) Level 3 (Grade C before 2007) or above in both Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; (4) Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Chinese and English word processing skills; (5) Good organisational, analytical, interpersonal and project planning/project management skills; (6) Detail-minded, able to work independently and demonstrate the qualities of a committed and self-motivated team player; (7) Responsible and enthusiastic with a fine character and integrity; and (8) Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in administration or who have worked in the Government/public organisations.? Note: ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and ‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Terms of Appointment: (1) 2-year contract; (2) Monthly salary $27,110; (3) Discretionary performance pay up to about 1 month’s salary in every six months; (4) 14 days’ annual leave; and (5) Gratuity payable plus Hongkong Post’s MPF contributions equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

The new version of application form for Government jobs G.F. 340 (Rev.7/2023) has been in use with effect from 26 July 2023. Candidates should use the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023). If candidates submit the old version form G.F. 340 (Rev. 3/2013), they will be required to fill in the new G.F. 340 (Rev. 7/2023) afresh and submit it within seven days upon request.
