System Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Manage containerization strategies using Docker, including image creation, optimization, and repository management.

  • Deploy, configure, and orchestrate Kubernetes (K8s) clusters for containerized application deployment, scaling, and management.

  • Implement and manage virtualization technologies (VM) such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM, including VM provisioning, monitoring, and performance tuning.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure infrastructure stability and security.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to align infrastructure requirements with application needs and business goals.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps, cloud computing, and virtualization to drive continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven work experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.), including system administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

  • Hands-on experience with Docker (container creation, management, networking) and Kubernetes (K8s) orchestration (cluster setup, pod management, services, ingress, etc.).

  • Solid knowledge of virtualization technologies (VM) and hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) with experience in VM provisioning and management.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls) and security best practices for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
