About the role

The Stage Operations Coordinator supports the setup, running and clearing of stage areas before, during and after events in an arts and culture setting. The role bridges communication between various stakeholders, ensures rehearsals and performances run according to agreed schedules, and enforces safety procedures and house rules of the venue.

Key responsibilities

• Support the setup, running and clearing of stage areas before, during and after events

• Ensure rehearsals and performances run according to agreed schedules

• Enforce safety procedures and house rules of venue for equipment, cables, lighting, rigging, and performers

• Bridge communication between various stakeholders; understand client needs and navigate through matrix organisation

• Attend production meetings, briefings and rehearsals as required

• Support emergency procedures where required

About you

• 5+ years' local work experience in theatre productions; or stage technical operation in performance venues or cultural facilities

• Degree holder in: stage management, theatre and entertainment arts, stage performance, theatre production, or equivalent

• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in Cantonese and English; Mandarin fluency would be advantageous

• Strong awareness of stage safety and backstage operational procedures

• Able to work under pressure; team player mindset

• Nice to have qualifications: IRATA/ SPRAT, PMP, Cyberhoist II - MotionCue3D Operator
