Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on ICT Architecture to lead and transform our Applications, Systems, Data and Infrastructure architecture landscape. In this pivotal role, you will define and execute the architectural strategy to drive excellence across integration, security, resilience, robustness, reusability, cost efficiency, and governance. You will be responsible for ensuring our technology ecosystem is scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives, while fostering innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership

• Define and own the ICT architecture strategy, principles, standards, and roadmaps for Application, System, Data and Infrastructure domains.
• Translate business strategy into a coherent, actionable, and future-proof technology architecture strategy.
• Lead the architecture governance taskforce, ensuring compliance with standards and driving strategic technology decisions.
• Evangelize architectural best practices and foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across functional teams.

Architecture Design & Execution

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for the design of major initiatives, ensuring they are secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Drive the adoption of modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, cloud-native) and technologies.
• Oversee API and integration architecture, ensuring seamless, reliable, and performant data and process flows across the ecosystem.
• Define and drive implementation for ICT infrastructure architecture (cloud/on-prem/hybrid) strategy focused on elasticity, automation, and cost optimization.

Cross-Functional Excellence

• Data, Security & Resilience: Partner with the relevant teams to embed security-by-design and privacy-by-design into all architectures. Define and measure disaster recovery and business continuity standards.
• Cost Efficiency: Architect solutions with total cost of ownership (TCO) in mind. Implement governance mechanisms to monitor and optimize ICT spend including license, subscription, cloud and infrastructure spend.
• Governance & Standards: Establish and maintain transformation governance & architecture review processes, design patterns, and technology selection frameworks. Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Reusability & Innovation: Identify and promote the development of shared platforms, components, and services to accelerate delivery and reduce duplication.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Act as a trusted advisor to CDO, Head of ICT, and functional leaders, clearly communicating architectural vision, trade-offs, and value.
• Collaborate closely with Application, Infrastructure, Operations, Internal Control and Sales & Marketing leadership to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
• Foster innovation culture, building a strong, unified architecture practice.

Requirements:

Essential

• 5+ years of progressive experience in software/system/infrastructure architecture roles.
• Proven track record of defining and executing multi-year architecture strategies that delivered measurable business impact.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in:

1. Modern application architecture (e.g., microservices, APIs, containerization, serverless).
2. Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
3. Designing for critical quality attributes: security, resilience (including DR/BCP), scalability, and performance.
4. Integration patterns and technologies (ESB, iPaaS, API gateways, event streaming).

• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cloud cost management.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable

• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect Professional, TOGAF)
• Background in software development with proficiency in one or more modern programming languages.
