Training Officer (HKIA/Beauty field)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
 

Reporting directly to the Training Manager, the Training Officer will play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of training programs across the organization. You will be responsible for preparing training materials, managing the training booking system, and ensuring all logistical aspects of training sessions are handled efficiently. This role requires collaboration with various departments to assess training needs and improve employee performance through effective training initiatives, including direct teaching and facilitation of training sessions.

  

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Assist the Training Manager in planning, organizing, and implementing training programs tailored to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and well-prepare training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning content to enhance the learning experience.
  • Manage and maintain the training booking system, ensuring all training sessions are scheduled, tracked, and communicated effectively to participants.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including venue selection, equipment setup, and material distribution.
  • Facilitate and deliver training sessions on beauty products, ensuring participants have a comprehensive understanding of product features, benefits, and application techniques.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Conduct evaluations of training sessions to assess effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, evaluations, and certifications to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist in identifying training needs through surveys, interviews, or consultations with department heads.
  • Provide general administrative support to the training team, including document preparation and management of training resources.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects or initiatives as assigned to support the overall training strategy and objectives.
  • Stay updated on beauty industry trends and product knowledge to enhance training content and delivery.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a training or learning and development role, preferably in the beauty or cosmetics industry.
  • Strong understanding of beauty products, including skincare, makeup, and fragrance, and the ability to communicate this knowledge effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality training materials and programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships.
  • Experience in conducting training needs analysis and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • A passion for employee development and continuous learning.
