Job Responsibilities
• Oversee the development, implementation, and management of the safety management system (SMS) to ensure compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
• Identify hazards and assess risks associated with flight operations, maintenance, and the overall management of safety processes
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for all staff, including pilots, maintenance crews, and ground personnel.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents and accidents, documents findings, and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, industry standards, and company policies, including IS-BAO Level 3 requirements.
• Analyse safety performance metrics and data to evaluate the effectiveness of safety initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to assess operational practices, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Foster a positive safety culture within the organization, encouraging staff to prioritize safety in all operational aspects.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry groups, and stakeholders regarding safety matters and initiatives.
• Lead efforts for continuous improvement in safety practices and systems, staying informed about the industry‘s best practices and advancements.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for emergencies.
• Maintain comprehensive safety records, reports, and documentation in compliance with IS-BAO and regulatory standards.
• Assist any duties assigned by the Chief Operating Officer
Job Requirements
• Degree holder in related disciplines with professional training in SMS/Fatigue Risk Management will be preferred
• 7 years of working experience in aviation, safety management system and/or corporate safety
• Experience in incident investigation and/or business aviation preferred
• Solid knowledge and experience in aviation safety, knowledge in safety management system is essential
• Solid understanding of IS-BAO requirements
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels and able to establish good relationships with regulators
• Sound knowledge of flight data monitoring programme is an advantage
• Possess of First Aid Certificate is an advantage
