Sourcing Specialist

Surbhi Diam Ltd was established in 2015 in Hong Kong, which serves as our primary business hub. Our core operations focus on trading polished diamonds. We are proud to be one of the select few operating in this specialized segment. Over the years, we have built an impressive track record in maintaining strong relationships with both clients and employees. Our esteemed clientele includes prominent watchmakers and jewelers and with our recent certification from the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), we are well-positioned to further expand our customer base and increase sales in the near future.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and classify diamonds based on their size, clarity, colour and other essential characteristics.

• Carefully choose various types of diamonds according to the order requirements, ensuring the highest quality standards.

• Collaborate with team members in purchasing activities and handle related paperwork, including supplier communications.

• Opening and closing the vault, ensuring the security and proper storage of valuable gemstones.

• Prepare stock reports and stock projections

• Attend trade fairs

• Assist in any ad-hoc assignments

Requirements:

• Diploma level or above, with a strong foundation in relevant fields.

• Possess a solid understanding of gemstones and jewelry.

• Experience in purchasing with factories and managing inventory orders.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel to efficiently manage data and communications.

• Excellent command of English for effective collaboration with team members and supplier in the local jewelry industry.

• Holding FGA (Gemmological Association of Great Britain), DGA (Diamond Grading Diploma), or GIA diploma is highly valued for this specialized role.
