Job description:
Program implementation: Implement the Tchibo Social and Environmental Monitoring Program, which includes audit report review, creating and approving Corrective Action Plans, supply chain risk assessments, etc.
Data management: Maintain our social and environmental monitoring database system (e.g. CBX) and provide analyses with recommendations for process improvement
Compliance management: Ensure adherence to environmental and labour rights regulations, particularly in China and Southeast Asia
Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, such as merchandising, as well as suppliers and factories to offer guidance and increase awareness about the Tchibo Supplier Code of Conduct, the requirements of the monitoring program and the human rights policies, engage with external service providers
Communication and reporting: Closely work with both local and international sustainability teams and assist in reporting audit data and progress updates
Sustainability support: Provide support for sustainability programs and related tasks in Southeast Asia, as needed
Reporting Line: Report directly to the Senior Sustainability Manager based in Hong Kong
Travel Requirement: Travel may be necessary, with less than 10% expected
Work schedule : 4 day a week
Requirements:
1-2 years relevant experience on social and environmental compliance, supplier engagement and supply chain management
Candidates with less experience might be considered for the Assistant Sustainability Executive role.
A collaborative team player with a passion for fieldwork, strong attention to detail, and the ability to navigate challenging and complex situations
Good command of written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin
