The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. To support the strategic development, the School is looking for a seasoned Project Co-ordinator II to play a significant role in supporting the Doctor of Business Administration (Chinese) (DBA) Programme, a collaborative teaching programme with its partners.
Assisting the Programme Director and/or his/her delegate(s) to achieve strategic goals, the appointee will be responsible for (a) providing support to study journey of DBA candidates, in particular thesis supervisors interaction, thesis progress monitoring as well as other support for thesis completion; (b) liaising with external/internal stakeholders to enhance students’ experience from admission, learning and development to graduation; (c) co-ordinating with internal/external stakeholders for programme administration and management, such as resources planning, service providers sourcing, other liaison work, etc.; (d) assisting in development of alumni network and strengthening connection with them, including having frequent communication, enhancing the programme’s visibility via appropriate channels and activities, etc.; and (e) leading and guiding other teaching support staff, supporting daily operations of the programme office, and other impromptu duties. Flexible work hours, and working in and travelling to mainland China and outside Hong Kong will be required.
Applicants should have (i) a Master’s degree; (ii) at least 1 year’s relevant experience in the higher education sector, preferably in supporting business-related research and/or projects; and good training in business research methodologies; (iii) an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) strong relationship-building skills, and capability of communicating effectively with people of diverse background, including high-level executives in the business sector, business partners, prospects and current students, alumni and other relevant stakeholders; (v) a self-motivated, collaborative, well-organised work attitude; and (vi) a strong sense of ownership to strive for good quality of work, and capability of mastering various tasks independently and collaboratively under pressure and tight deadlines. Knowledge of business culture, higher education landscape, and connection with corporates and professional bodies in mainland China is an advantage. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end-gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
