The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing a team of hostel attendants, including preparing monthly duty roster and leave schedule for hostel attendants, carrying out regular and ad hoc inspection of hostel hygiene, and ensuring proper delivery of hostel services on a daily basis; (b) liaising with internal and external parties on renovation and maintenance works of the student hostels; (c) processing the College’s undergraduates’ application for hostel places, and arranging summer residence for undergraduates and events organised by the College and/or the University; (d) processing data in relation to hostel management, such as hostel place application, hostel income and expenditure, hostel personnel matters, etc.; (e) preparing various hostel reports to facilitate hostel management, such as hostel fees report, report on refund of hostel key deposit, income from smart-card system report and other statistic report, etc.; (f) providing secretarial support to the Working Group on Hostel Affairs and Selection Criteria; (g) arranging annual cleaning for hostels; (h) liaising with Wardens, Resident Tutors, Hall Associations and other stakeholders of the College’s hostels; and (i) performing any other duties as assigned by the Senior College Development Officer or his/her supervisors.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree, (ii) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iii) good analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills; (iv) knowledge of various computer applications, such as Excel, Photoshop, etc.; (v) capability of using advanced data processing software for hostel management; (vi) self-motivation, and the ability to multitask and work under pressure; and (vii) at least 5 years’ work experience, preferably with relevant experience in hostel setting and/or in a supervisory position.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
