The Taught Postgraduate (TPg) Programme Team under the Department of Government and Public Administration is currently managing two taught master programmes. MSSc Programme in Public Policy (MPUP) is an interdisciplinary and highly competitive professional programme committed to inspiring public policy leaders and professionals around the world who would like to make a positive impact on society. MSSc Programme in Government and Politics (Greater China) (GPGC) aims to train creative and methodologically rigorous analysts of government and politics in Greater China. To accomplish our mission, the two taught master programmes offer educational experience focusing on both theoretical foundations and professional practices to ensure all our graduates are well equipped with knowledge and skills to comprehend the political environment and to formulate, analyse and implement public policy effectively. The TPg Programme Team is now hiring a Project Co-ordinator II.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating and providing support to programme administration, including but not limited to admissions, teaching, programme activities and events, publicity, etc.; (b) handling student and public enquiries; (c) performing general liaison work with University Departments/Units and external parties; and (d) performing other departmental duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iii) strong interpersonal, computer, analytical and organisational skills; and (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation. Experience in programme administration is preferred. Experience in media or publicity will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
