Department of Chemistry

The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing independent administrative support to the operations of the Department’s research postgraduate programme and programme-related activities; (b) providing secretarial support to meetings for the programme; (c) assisting in co-ordinating internal and external quality assurance exercises; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the tertiary education sector; (iii) proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, a meticulous attitude, and the ability to work independently and under pressure; (v) excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skill; and (vi) good computer skill. Familiarity with Word, Excel, Access and Zoom is preferred. Solid experience in handling research postgraduate programme, as well as quality assurance at tertiary institutions will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for written tests.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
