Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology is seeking a technician to provide support to the general operation of the Laboratory equipment, including fNIRS and EEG, physiological measurement devices and eye tracking systems. The appointee will be responsible for (a) operating the experimental devices; (b) providing training to students on the use of devices; (c) routine maintenance of the system; and (d) other duties as assigned. 

Applicants should have/be (i) a Higher Diploma/Higher Certificate or above in Psychology, Neuroscience, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines from a recognised university or technical institute; OR a Diploma/Certificate in related disciplines from a recognised university or technical institute plus 3 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience; (ii) skillful in programming languages, such as Python, Java and MATLAB; and (iii) good communication and administrative skills. 

Appointment will initially be made a 1- or 2-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
