Estates Management Office
The appointee will (a) supervise internal staff and contractors to perform periodic inspections, testing and certifications for fixed electrical installation under the Electricity Ordinance; (b) prepare documents and drawings for tender of project/AA&I/repair and maintenance (R&M) works and subsequent supervision; (c) seek improvements on system operation to achieve carbon reduction; and (d) perform ad-hoc/other duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work overtime, on shifts and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary.
Applicants should have/be (i) a Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering from a recognised university or technical institute; (ii) at least 3 years’ supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (i) above, in electrical installation, operation and maintenance; (iii) a Grade B registered electrical worker (REW); (iv) experience in testing and commissioning (T&C) of emergency generator system and performing PITC; (v) the ability to prepare reports in English and Chinese; (vi) computer skills in AutoCAD and MS Office applications; and (vii) good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under tight schedules. Possession of a valid driving licence (Class 1 and 2) will be advantageous. Those with less but at least 1 year’s relevant post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Works Supervisor II.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
