Job Scope:
The Assistant Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the marketing and sales efforts for our banquet halls, targeting both members and corporate clients. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of success in event sales and client relationship management, combined with a forward-thinking approach to modern Catering and Banqueting trends. They must demonstrate the ability to boost revenue growth and optimize the utilization of banquet facilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Marketing and Sales:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote our banquet halls to member and corporate clients.
- Identify and target potential corporate members for events such as training sessions, annual meetings, and company celebrations.
- Implement a referral program through current club members to expand our client base.
2. Banquet Hall Utilization:
- Increase the occupancy and utilization rates of our banquet halls by attracting non-member corporations via member referral.
- Collaborate with the event/ catering team to ensure flawless execution of events that meet or exceed client expectations.
3. Event and Membership Promotion:
- Organize and host one-day experience events to introduce potential clients to our banquet facilities and other club amenities.
- Collaborate with the Membership team to promote our club's corporate membership offerings to member and corporations, with the goal of increasing overall membership numbers.
4. Client Relations and Customer Service:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients to ensure repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
- Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
5. Administrative and Reporting:
- Track and report on the success of marketing campaigns, event attendance, and banquet hall utilization rates.
- Provide regular updates and feedback on sales performance and strategies for improvement.
Requirements:
- Holder of Higher Diploma in Hotel or Catering Management or related
- Extensive experience in catering sales, event management, or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong marketing, sales, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
