Duties
The appointee will be required to provide secretarial support to the Director of Research Centre for Digital Transformation of Tourism (RCDTT), one of the constituent research units under the PolyU Academy of Interdisciplinary Research. The appointee will also be required to:
(a) provide administrative support to RCDTT’s daily operation;
(b) coordinate visits, scholarly events and other occasions;
(c) handle information flow and maintain an effective record and filing system;
(d) handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner;
(e) update the website and publicise the updated information of RCDTT through different media;
(f) provide secretarial support to committees and meetings;
(g) liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of RCDTT or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least three years of relevant post-qualification experience;
(b) have good communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills;
(c) be well-organised and attentive to details;
(d) be able to work independently and handle sensitive matters with alertness and prudence;
(e) have good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing; and
(f) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
Preference will be given to those with solid relevant work experience in tertiary institutions.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
