Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) manage the Mini-master Programme and handle relevant matters, e.g. course coordination, registration, issuance of certificates and student records, etc.;
(b) coordinate the collaborations with top universities and liaise with the relevant parties regarding resources planning and budgetary applications;
(c) provide support to the constituent research units of the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR) in preparing and managing reports and/or other research related documents;
(d) oversee child projects and external collaborations of PAIR’s constituent research units, including the administration of memorandums of understanding, agreements and funding transfers;
(e) provide technical support to systems, events and activities;
(f) facilitate the collection, consolidation, updating and verification of data for various internal units; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of PAIR or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification work experience;
(b) have strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills;
(c) be highly self-motivated, and able to work independently and handle sensitive matters with alertness and prudence;
(d) be well-organised and highly attentive to details;
(e) have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
(f) have good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing; and
(g) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
Preference will be given to those with working experience in tertiary institution. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
