Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) oversee the overall administration of academic programmes of the Faculty, ranging from undergraduate to research postgraduate degrees, by providing services for new programme developments, programme validations and revisions, and programme quality assurance;
(b) coordinate professional accreditations as well as Teaching and Learning (T&L) related matters;
(c) support the Dean and Associate Dean of the Faculty in formulating the Faculty’s strategies and policies in relation to academic programmes and T&L matters;
(d) handle student administration matters, including but not limited to admissions, registration, examinations, scholarships and awards, student records, student exchange, and liaison with student associations;
(e) lead and support assorted student recruitment and programme promotion initiatives, and organise student activities and scholarly events;
(f) assist the Faculty Secretary in office management and supervise supporting staff in the day-to-day operation of the Faculty Office;
(g) provide secretarial service to committees and / or working groups;
(h) liaise with University's internal departments, external organisations, as well as students and graduates; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty and the Faculty Secretary or their delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree with at least eight years of solid administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in academic programme administration in tertiary education institutions;
(b) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(c) a strategic mind-set with exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organisational, multi-tasking, interpersonal and leadership skills;
(d) high self-motivation, and the abilities to balance multiple tasks and different priorities;
(e) proactivity, flexibility, and professionalism, along with the abilities to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines; and
(f) sound computer literacy, including Chinese word processing, PowerPoint and Excel.
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Executive Officer.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
