Duties
The appointee will work in a team responsible for the development, support and management of the campus network infrastructure. The appointee will be required to:
(a) assist in the installation, maintenance and operation of the campus networking equipment including Wi-Fi Controllers, LAN switches and routers and any other LAN equipment and tools on- and off-campus;
(b) assist in the installation and administration of various network servers and network devices, i.e. Radius servers, DHCP servers, Network Management servers, DNS servers etc.;
(c) assist in the installation, maintenance and operation of Voice and Unified Communication System (IP Telephony System);
(d) liaise with related parties on the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS);
(e) handle network issues reported by users, user requests and enquiries;
(f) assist in the maintenance of software tools for the in-house developed campus network management systems (CNM);
(g) perform scheduled maintenance work during non-office-hours;
(h) perform 7x24 after-office-hour standby network service support on a roster basis and when required; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline;
(b) preferably two or more years of relevant post-qualification working experience;
(c) experience in the installation and administration of Wi-Fi networks and systems, DHCP servers and Radius servers;
(d) in-depth knowledge of communication protocols and standards;
(e) good communication skills; and
(f) the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
Candidates with less experience will also be considered.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
