The Department of Physics seeks applicants for a full-time position of Assistant Manager in administrating the MSc in Physics Program.
The appointee should be proactive, independent and self-motivated in providing administrative functions to the program. Main duties include assisting Program Director in implementing new program initiatives and development, administrating student projects and course scheduling, compiling qualitative reports with quantitative analysis, coordinating regular program exercises and data collection, assisting in designing, developing and maintaining the program webpage. The appointee will also serve as a coordinator for internal and external parties for MSc program related matters, perform daily administrative tasks and provide ad-hoc support as assigned by Program Director and the Department.
Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree, with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in administration. Work experience in education sector will be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have a problem-solving mindset, an outgoing personality, ability to work both independently and in a team, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. The appointee should be a good team player and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as co-ordination skills. The appointee should also have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Work outside normal office hours, including weekends/public holidays or evenings is occasionally required. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
