The Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management is seeking a highly motivated, proactive and capable individual to fill the position of Officer/Assistant Officer to provide administrative and logistical support to academic programs (RPg and UG) and the Department.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support on academic program administration and student affairs including course administration, academic advising, student activities and other related initiatives.
- Offer academic advisory support to students on matters such as study planning, exchange opportunities, career development, academic progression and related issues.
- Render administrative and logistical support to the department's daily operation as well as departmental seminars/workshops, academic conferences and other events and functions.
- Liaise with other relevant office(s) within University and external institutes/organizations on student academic administration, student development and program operations.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree, preferably with 2-3 years of relevant administrative experiences. Prior work experience in tertiary institutions or relevant commercial organizations, and/or in program administration and student activities would be an advantage. The appointee should be highly proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. He/She should be detail-oriented, self-motivated with excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, multi-tasking skills and good knowledge of IT and software applications. He/She should be able to work independently and as a team, with high flexibility and a strong sense of responsibility. Candidates with lower qualifications and/or less experience will be considered for appointment as Assistant Officer. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
