Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Manager (Building Management & Services), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• To assist the Senior Manager (Building Management & Finance)/Manager (Building Maintenance and Services) in preparation of engineering specifications, tender evaluation, job planning, operation, improvement and maintenance of all E&M provisions of station buildings, operational premises and cable tunnels
• To supervise staff/ tradesmen/ contractors to effect optimal deployment, to ensure good quality of work and excellent services are provided to comply with the contract specifications and company’s requirements
• To lead a team of technical staff to carry out routine maintenance and housekeeping works in HK Electric’s premises
• To check and ensure the operations and provisions comply with the latest statutory requirements and identify any rooms of improvement
• To coordinate the building maintenance work for E&M works, including estate management, contractor management, administrative work for the primary station buildings and goods received after completion of work
• To investigate and identify building defects, formulate appropriate remedial measures and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/ Higher Diploma in Building Services or Electrical or related disciplines
• Prior formal training in Building Services Engineering, building maintenance or surveying an advantage
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience in the facilities/ building management/ maintenance or completion of a recognised graduate training
• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in supervising staff/ tradesmen/ contractors
• Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and ISO 55001 an advantage
• Experienced in liaising with customers for works affecting their operations
• Holder of a valid driving license for class 1 & 2 vehicles
• General computer application knowledge
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
