Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Operation Engineer (Support), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• To investigate transmission system faults, alarms, and defects, ensuring prompt emergency response and restoration of power supply which may be beyond regular working hours
• To lead and supervise technicians, tradesmen, and contractors in fault repair, cable testing, and execution of construction and maintenance works, ensuring safe and efficient operations
• To support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of transmission cable assets, and operate HV switchgears under Safety Rules authorization to maintain network integrity
• To manage capital and revenue budgets, control expenditures, and oversee procurement of tools, equipment, and project resources to support operational needs
• To assist in maintaining an ISO9001 quality management system on trenching work
• To analyse cable diagnostics and fault data, recommend reliability improvements, and ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and internal safety regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years’ experiences in electrical industry, preferably in trenching/road work
• Knowledge in electricity supply lines damage prevention requirements, trenching work and contract administration
• Good communication and supervisory skills for dealing with workmen, contractors and suppliers
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
• Holder of a valid driving license for Class 1 & 2 vehicles

Working Location: Ap Lei Chau, transportation to be provided.
