Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Materials Handling Engineer, the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• To oversee and execute marine operations at the Hong Kong Offshore Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal, including supporting and supervising Floating Storage Regasification Unit Jetty and Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier activities related to terminal operations
• To supervise a marine crew to ensure the safe and effective operation and maintenance of all vessel and jetty equipment
• To administer off-site bus and ferry services with contractors and other divisions
• To provide services for bulk materials jetties operations, including berthing and unberthing, planning unloading programmes, draft reading and calculation, and report preparation
• To perform duties during typhoons and supervise the crew in arranging for the evacuation of personnel from the site, and securing vessels and other properties against damage
• To liaise with shipyards for the maintenance of launches and jetties and ensure docking is completed within the targeted timeframe

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Maritime Studies, Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering or related disciplines
• A minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience, of which 2 years’ seagoing experience
• Deck Officer (Class 3) and/or Marine Engineer (Class 3) Certificate of Competency issued by the HKSAR or equivalent
• Experience and qualifications and experience as Port Facility Security Officer (International Ship and Port Facility Security) an advantage
• Good analytical and diagnostic skills for defect investigation and problem solving
• Holder of a valid class 1 and 2 driving license an advantage
• Good command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written

Working Location: Lamma Island, transportation to be provided.
