VACANCY FOR CLERICAL STAFF CUM LIBRARY ASSISTANT

Applications are called for the post of clerical staff for the Islamic Union of H.K. The successful applicant will work under the Membership and Library Committee and the job description will be to:

  • Maintain the files and record the movements of the Membership database system

  • Receive subscription payments and issue receipts for the subscriptions received

  • Any other duties as decided by the committee

  • Maintain the Library in good order and be responsible for logging in visitors to the Library and be responsible for borrow out item registration and follow up.

  • Cataloging of new books for display in the Library and preparing posters to publicize the new additions to the library.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Form 6 or above;

  • Good spoken Cantonese and English;

  • Good command of MS Office( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Able to work independently

  • Previous experience working in a library will be an advantage
