Sales Effectiveness Analyst

About Sales Effectiveness:
You’re in stores and ready to buy. What catches your eye and motivates you to buy a certain product? Maybe the product was on sale, or in just the right spot on the shelf. With Sales Effectiveness (SEff) we help our clients prioritize their pricing, trade promotion and assortment strategies and tactics in store, so they can reach the right buyers. 

The advanced technology differentiates us from other players in the market. In this role, you will be able to use advanced technology to support the data to provide insights, latest technology in research, networking with multinational companies, understanding trade execution process, and learn about FMCG dynamics.

The SEff team plays a pivotal role in helping clients answer their key business questions to improve performance, questions like ‘what price should my product be? What promotions work?  How can I get the best return on my marketing? What should my field sales team do?  Did my in-store marketing work?’

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a part of an international project team that helps FMCG clients optimize their pricing, promotion activities and instore trade spending
  • Apart from Nielsen traditional tools, SEff team leverages advanced methodologies to build answers to business questions from the market data
  • Assist in project management, Nielsen tools commercialization and execution
  • Have a chance to participate in building relationships with different FMCG clients
  • Become an FMCG expert by converting data into a business-focused client insights
  • Participate in making presentation content, adding recommendations for the clients
  • Attending events/conferences of FMCG-industry profile

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or Statistics
  • 1-3 years of experience in FMCG, trade marketing, category management (Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply as an entry-level analyst) 
  • Are passionate about Price, Promo and Assortment Analytics
  • Interested in market research and business, data-based consulting
  • Logical with high numerical sense
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation, as well as project management skills
  • Technical skills in SAS, Python, R Stats, considered an advantage
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills will be good
  • Able to effectively communicate in a cross-country environment

Years of Experience:

  • Analyst: Graduate level or up to 1 year experience
  • Senior Analyst: 2 years plus experience in FMCG, trade marketing, category management
